Galliford Try’s West Midlands and South West business has been shortlisted for next year’s Rail Business Awards for the Infrastructure Project and Station Excellence award for Perry Barr railway station.
The Perry Barr railway station and bus interchange project in partnership with Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), West Midland Combined Authority (WMCA), Birmingham City Council, Network Rail and West Midlands Trains, is a new modern accessible station that stands at the heart of Birmingham City.
The scheme was also nominated as Regeneration Project of the Year earlier this month at the West Midlands Property Awards as well as being shortlisted for Construction Project of the Year.
Simon Courtney, Managing Director for Galliford Try’s Building West Midlands and South West business, said: “It’s great to see Perry Barr receive so much recognition as our team has done a great job transforming the station into a landmark hub that is easily accessible for everyone in the region. I wish all the team the best of luck at the 2023 awards.”
The Rail Business Awards celebrate the best of the UK rail industry and are the first national awards dedicated to the sector in the UK, recognising major projects across a range of aspects such as safety and technical innovation.
Winners will be announced on 23 February 2023 at London Hilton.
