Galliford Try director featured in King's Honours

Terry Miller, Non Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Galliford Try, has been made CBE for services to the financial sector, in the King's first Birthday Honours list.

Terry joined the Board of Galliford Try in February 2014 and is currently Senior Independent Director. She plays a key role as chair of both the Group's Employee Forum and Stakeholder Steering Committee, which provide the Board with oversight of the Galliford Try's activities in both areas.

Terry is a lawyer by profession and has spent a large part of her legal career working for Goldman Sachs, ultimately becoming a partner and International General Counsel. She is also a Non-executive Director of insurance company Rothesay Life plc, a trustee of the Rothesay Foundation, a Non-executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Stelrad Group plc, as well as an independent panel member for the Bank of England Court. She has extensive wide-ranging commercial experience, including construction experience as General Counsel for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), which included overseeing negotiation of overlay construction contracts for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Terry was also a Trustee of the Invictus Games Foundation.
