Galliford Try has been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s Constructing Excellence (CE) East Midlands Awards.
Our Building East Midlands team has been nominated for its work on the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital in Derby, delivered for the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust. This project brought together clinical, design, construction, and technology teams to create a modern diagnostic facility that enhances patient experience and operational efficiency.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the centre offers advanced diagnostic services including CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, phlebotomy and various physiological tests such as echocardiography, cardiology and respiratory assessments.
The same project has also been recognised in the Retrofit Project category, reflecting its successful transformation into a state-of-the-art facility.
The second project to be shortlisted in the Integration and Collaborative Working category is our Environment business’s Mansfield Sustainable Flood Resilience project, delivered in partnership with Severn Trent. As the UK’s first and largest retrofit Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) scheme, the project addresses the growing challenges of flood risk and climate change through nature-based solutions.
The project has also been shortlisted for the Water Project Award at this year’s British Construction and Infrastructure Awards, which recognises outstanding projects within the water sector.
Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: “We are proud to see both our Building and Environment teams recognised at the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards. These nominations highlight the strength of our collaborative culture and the value it brings to clients and communities across the East Midlands. Good luck to everyone involved.”
