Galliford Try announces that Tom Foy has been appointed to the role of Group Behavioural Lead, where he will spearhead the Group’s ‘Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviour’ programme, and reinforce a culture of care through leadership where safety is the top priority.
Tom benefits from more than 20 years’ experience within the construction sector, having initially started with the Group as Apprentice Joiner. He has worked across highways, water and aviation schemes, amassing a wealth of invaluable experience and perspectives to the role, and is promoted from his current role as Works Manager on the major Carlisle Southern Link Road scheme.
As well as his extensive operational experience Tom has been a champion for behavioural culture throughout the Group, working on a number of cross-business initiatives, and as a member of the Employee Engagement Forum.
Commenting on his promotion, Mike Webb, Health, Safety and Environment Director, commented: “Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviour (CBAB) is pivotal to our approach to health and safety, and we are delighted to welcome Tom to his new role. Tom will bring great insights from our business and industry to this role as we continue to build on the good work we have done in our pursuit of no harm.
