Galliford Try's Perry Barr train station project has been shortlisted for the West Midlands Property Awards for Construction Project of the Year and Regeneration Project of the Year.
Perry Barr railway station, located in Birmingham, is a modern and accessible station procured through the Pagabo framework for Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) and the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). It replaces the dilapidated buildings that stood there previously, with brand new facilities including a new station concourse and ticket office, accessible toilets and baby change areas, lifts to all platforms and improved external urban realm.
Simon Courtney, Managing Director for Galliford Try’s Building West Midlands and South West business, said: “We are delighted that the Perry Barr project has been recognised in this way. The shortlisting is a testament to the hard work of the team in conjunction with our stakeholders that produced such a fantastic facility, as was demonstrated during the Commonwealth Games, when it became a major transport hub for the event.”
The West Midlands Property Awards are a celebration of regional real estate success and the best of West Midlands commercial property. Winners will be announced on 17 November at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
