Net Zero Partners supply chain initiative rolled out across Galliford Try

Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading construction groups, has begun the roll-out of its Net Zero Partners initiative across its businesses, as it continues to make progress towards its net zero carbon targets.

The scheme is intended to bring the group’s supply chain into closer collaboration with Galliford Try, creating greater understanding of the shared net zero targets, and promoting learning and training in low carbon construction.

The initiative is based on three key pillars of carbon literacy, upskilling and continual improvement and quality. These encourage an understanding of what carbon is and how to measure it properly, the skills required for low carbon construction, including sharing knowledge and signposting to relevant accredited training, and how to utilise low carbon construction methods and digital tools to maximise quality.

Following the successful launch of the scheme within the Morrison Construction business, supply chain members across the group’s areas of operation will be engaged with, as Galliford Try, its clients and its partners work together to create a consensus around carbon reduction within the construction industry and its processes.

Galliford Try has pledged to achieve Net Zero carbon across its own operations by 2030, and Net Zero across all activities by 2045 at the latest.
