Natasha Broomhead has been appointed as Galliford Try’s new Director for the Education sector, succeeding the retiring Claire Jackson.
Natasha joined Galliford Try as Framework Director within the Education team last year, and has been selected to step up to lead the team and be Galliford Try’s key liaison with the Department for Education (DfE) and the wider sector.
She succeeds Claire, who has been in the role for nine years, as the team continues the delivery of schools for the DfE.
Natasha joined Galliford Try from BAM Construct UK and has over 18 years’ experience within education framework and commercial roles in the construction sector, having begun her career as a Quantity Surveyor. Her promotion demonstrates the business’s emphasis on succession planning and appointing key leadership roles from within.
Cliff Wheatley, Divisional Managing Director for Galliford Try’s Building business, commented: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Natasha in her new role at an exciting time for the Education team as we continue our journey with the DfE. I look forward to working with her as we continue to develop our offering and enhance our position as one of the leading contractors to the sector, in line with our Sustainable Growth Strategy.”
“Claire’s leadership and commitment to the education sector has been truly exceptional and we thank her for her significant contribution and wish her all the best for her new chapter in life.”
