Kirsty Arnold has been appointed as Pre-Construction Director for Galliford Try’s Building North East and Yorkshire business unit, effective from January 2026.
Kirsty comes from an architectural background and joined Building North East and Yorkshire’s pre-construction team eight years ago from a design role at Kier. She replaces Paul McCletchie, who will retire in December after 12 years with the business and nearly 50 years in construction.
Kirsty has been a key figure in developing and delivering successful bids across the region, working closely with Paul and the wider leadership team to secure a strong pipeline of projects for the region across the education, defence, and civic sectors.
Cliff Wheatley, Managing Director for Galliford Try Building North East and Yorkshire, commented: “Once again, our determination to develop our talent from within has been demonstrated with Kirsty’s appointment as Pre-Construction Director.
“Having played a leading role in our pre-construction activities for more than eight years, she brings exceptional technical knowledge, leadership, and insight to the role. Kirsty is ideally placed to build on the region’s strong performance and lead our continued success in our chosen markets.”
“Paul has made a huge contribution to our regional success, and we wish him a long and happy retirement. I’m confident that under Kirsty’s leadership, our pre-construction team will continue to build on the work Paul has delivered and move our business forward.”
