James Green, Project Manager for Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial business, has received the Quality Award at the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.
The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards recognise outstanding dedication to achieving the highest standards in housebuilding. Out of approximately 8,200 sites, just 450 winners are selected following inspections, meticulous scoring and detailed verifications, placing winners in the top 5% of site managers in the UK.
James was recognised for showcasing best practice and excellence for his work on the recently completed 249 Build-to-Rent homes at the Brent Cross Town, Plot 13 redevelopment project. This scheme is one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects that will deliver 6,700 new homes, three million sq ft of office and workspace, a new high street, three redeveloped schools, and over 50 acres of public parks and playing fields.
This recognition also extends to the entire site management team at Plot 13, whose support, collaboration, and dedication were instrumental in the successful delivery of the project.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Building London and South East Commercial, said: “We take great pride in James receiving this prestigious award for his outstanding commitment to delivering excellence, attention to detail and leadership on site. It reflects not only his dedication but also the high standards we uphold, reinforcing our reputation for building quality residential schemes.”
Commenting on the awards, Steve Wood, CEO at NHBC said: “Congratulations to James, who has demonstrated the dedication, passion and leadership skills necessary to deliver new homes to exacting construction quality standards.
“Thousands of outstanding site managers have made their mark on the industry in the 45 years Pride in the Job has been running. This continued focus on excellence is vital to support the Government’s 1.5 million new homes target and to ensure that all housing is built to the quality owners and occupiers should expect.”
The Quality Award winners will now go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the Autumn, with the national Supreme Award winners unveiled in January 2026.
