Galliford Try has once again achieved Platinum membership status with The 5% Club, marking the third consecutive year that the company has achieved the highest level of recognition with the scheme.
The 5% Club is an audited scheme that accredits over 1,100 forward-thinking employers who are dedicated to driving positive change through structured learning opportunities, including apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and sponsored qualifications for employees at all stages of their careers.
Galliford Try’s ongoing success in The 5% Club reflects the business’s strong investment in people and its culture of continuous learning. Currently, more than 10% of the company’s workforce are in ‘earn and learn’ positions, covering not only Early Careers entrants but also experienced hires completing apprenticeships or professional qualifications.
Vikki Skene, HR Director for Galliford Try, commented: "We’re extremely proud to once again be recognised by The 5% Club. This achievement reflects our ongoing dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for people to learn, grow, and build long-term careers with us. Investing in learning across all levels of the business is essential not only for our success, but for the future of the entire construction industry."
Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club, added: "We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding employers, like Galliford Try, who continue to invest in developing their workforce through high-quality ‘earn and learn’ schemes. Their commitment to nurturing talent helps to build skills, drive innovation, and create a stronger, more sustainable economy for the future."
Galliford Try’s strong focus on people development has also been reflected in this year’s JobCrowd rankings, where the company achieved the number one spot in the UK for both graduates and apprentices in the 2024/25 league table, the only employer rankings based entirely on employee feedback.
