Galliford Try’s people-orientated working culture has been celebrated by its nomination as a finalist in the Best Place to Work – Large Firm category at the Construction News Workforce Awards.

The business has received the recognition for a class-leading Employee Advocacy score of 87%, a significant 12% above the average for large UK employers, demonstrating the strong employee experience across the organisation.

Its Employee Value Proposition, Grow Together sets out the commitment to offering a people-orientated, progressive culture, while the Careers without Compromise learning and development programme has enabled the business to establish a culture that recognises that the way in which we work is changing, creating opportunities for our people to develop their skills and progress their careers.

Galliford Try’s strong focus on Early Careers led the business to be named number one employer for both graduates and apprentices by TheJobCrowd earlier this year, while it was recently awarded the Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, for its approach to integrating ex-forces personnel into its employee base.

Vikki Skene, HR Director for Galliford Try, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised by the CN Workforce Awards for this important award. We pride ourselves on being a people-orientated, progressive and values-driven organisation which has been, once again, confirmed by this nomination. We believe our culture truly sets us apart and look forward to the awards later this year.”
