Galliford Try Environment shortlisted for two Water Industry News awards

Galliford Try’s Environment business has been named as a finalist for two prizes in this year’s Water Industry Awards, run by Utility Week.
 
The Exmouth Outfall project has been shortlisted in the Alliance or Partnership of the Year category for showcasing a remarkable feat of engineering and partnership, while the ‘Protect and Prevent’ programme that addresses an escalation in service strikes, was nominated for Health and Safety Initiative of the Year.

The Exmouth scheme exemplified the power of partnership and supply chain collaboration excellence. and prioritised safety, sustainability, and operational excellence, to deliver the project ahead of schedule, within budget and safely, marking a remarkable achievement.   

The Protect and Prevent initiative is designed to catalyse behavioural transformations, enhance planning processes, and embed best practices. Through improved service detection techniques, rigorous risk assessments and innovative avoidance strategies, Galliford Try is driving a culture where zero service strikes are standard.

These two shortlistings for the Environment business follow a further two received earlier in the month for this year’s Construction News Awards, as well as Contractor of the Year. 

The Water Industry Awards offer an opportunity to showcase how the UK water sector is driving forward and delivering change. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 24 June.
