Galliford Try is pleased to announce that Katherine Kinsey and Kat Robinson have been shortlisted as finalists at the National Business Women’s Awards 2026, recognising their outstanding contributions to the industry.

Katherine Kinsey, EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) Discipline Manager within Galliford Try’s Environment division, has been shortlisted in the Women in Construction category.

Katherine has played a key role in securing IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) accreditation, developing and implementing the Environment Graduate Technical Pathway, and driving increased female representation in engineering roles. A passionate mentor and STEM ambassador, she is committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Kat Robinson, Head of Customer Service in the Environment division, has been shortlisted in the Social Impact category. Kat leads the integration of social impact with customer service, embedding it across the business and its partnerships. She has grown the team from one to six, established a charity and sponsorship committee, and led the transition to ‘Thrive’ - a social value measuring tool that enables more meaningful and measurable social impact. She also significantly expanded STEM engagement, increasing the number of ambassadors from 10 to 35.

Mark Shadrick, Managing Director of Galliford Try’s Environment business, said: “Kath and Kat’s nominations are richly deserved and reflect their dedication, leadership and positive impact. We are incredibly proud to see their achievements recognised on a national stage.”

The awards celebrate the UK’s most inspiring businesswomen, with winners to be announced at a gala event in London on 5 June.
