Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial business has delivered the first phase of Build-to-Rent (BTR) homes at Brent Cross Town, the £8bn 180-acre park town by Related Argent and Barnet Council.
This project continues the ongoing partnership with Related Argent and follows the completion of 281 apartments at 1 and 2 Ashley Road in Tottenham Hale.
Designed by Squire & Partners and WCA, with interiors by Conran and Partners, Plot 13 is the first phase of 'The Maple' and includes 249 high-specification BTR homes across four blocks ranging from eight to 16 storeys.
The Maple offers a range of studio, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, finished to a high specification throughout. The ground floor features flexible retail space, a leisure facility and a large community space, alongside a shared basement car park delivered under a separate contract which connects to neighbouring plots.
Galliford Try is undertaking the second phase of The Maple (Plot 14), which is scheduled to complete this Autumn and will offer a further 286 homes. Combined, the development will offer expansive residents’ amenities, including a gym, 25m swimming pool, spa facilities, sports simulator room, rooftop BBQ and a pet wash station, alongside landscaped podium gardens which provide residents with access to peaceful, elevated green space within the urban setting.
Supporting Brent Cross Town’s ambition to become a net zero carbon town, The Maple was delivered with a strong focus on sustainable construction. Low carbon initiatives included the use of modular bathroom pods, and a full carbon lifecycle assessment was undertaken to drive down embodied carbon and align with circular economy principles.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Building London and South East Commercial, said: “We are pleased to have successfully completed Plot 13 at Brent Cross Town, a high-quality residential development that reflects our capability in delivering complex, large-scale urban projects. This scheme represents another positive milestone in our longstanding partnership with Related Argent, and we are proud to contribute to the continued progression of this significant regeneration project.”
Once complete, Brent Cross Town one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects will deliver 6,700 new homes, 3 million sq ft of office and workspace, a new high street, three redeveloped schools, and over 50 acres of public parks and playing fields.
