Galliford Try has been working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust since 2013 to restructure and revitalise facilities at the Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup.

As a Mental Health Trust, Oxleas recognised the importance of developing the hospital to support integrated services and seamless care for patients. With seven NHS Trusts and private providers renting space on the site it was essential to obtain stakeholder consensus and ensure any solutions provided supported future care needs.

The programme, originally procured under the P21+ framework, has included successful reconfigurations such as a new Kidney Treatment Centre, an Adult Learning and Disability Centre and the refurbishment of the hospital's block 'A'.

Further phases have included the renovation of block 'B' which has seen the refurbishment of the ophthalmology, orthodontics and central services areas of the hospital. The final phase of the programme is ongoing with a further £7m of works refurbishing operating theatres.
