Morrison Construction named Contractor of the Year at Learning Places Scotland Awards

Morrison Construction, part of the Galliford Try group, has been recognised in several categories at the prestigious Learning Places Scotland Awards, winning Contractor of the Year for the second time this Winter.

The business was crowned 'Contractor of the Year' for its outstanding work as a main contractor across the Scottish education sector over the last 18 months, providing high-quality educational facilities through collaboration with clients and suppliers.

In addition, the business received special recognition for Barony Campus which was a finalist for 'Inspiring Learning Spaces' and 'Project of the Year'. Other shortlistings included 'Innovation in Delivering a Sustainable Learning Space' for West Lothian Council Early Years Centres Blackridge Nursery – Scotland’s first public Passivhaus educational facility, ‘Project of the Year' for Ayr Grammar Primary School/Archive and Registration Centre, and ‘Pupil Experience' for Dunoon Primary School.

Just this October, Galliford Try and Morrison Construction claimed Contractor of the Year as well as scooping Project of the Year for Barony Campus at the Education Estates Awards in Manchester.
