Galliford Try’s Facilities Management (GTFM) business and Morrison Construction have been working in partnership with Hub South East and NHS Lothian to prepare and maintain the new vaccination centres that are delivering the Covid-19 vaccine to residents across the region.

Four sites have been adapted by Morrison Construction’s Central business, including a drive-through centre at Queen Margaret University at Musselburgh, and ‘drive-to’ centres at the Pyramids Business Park in Livingston and the Younger Building at the Gyle, as well as supply and installation of vaccine reconstitution cabins at the Royal Highland Centre.

GTFM has now picked up the baton and will be maintaining the centres going forward, as they deliver the new vaccines at scale to the people of Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

Mark Baxter, Divisional Managing Director Specialist Services, commented: “This project demonstrates the fantastic client outcomes Galliford Try deliver when we work together across our businesses and we are delighted to have played our part in such vital work towards protecting our communities in partnership with NHS Lothian.

“The strength of our offering across all our businesses has been demonstrated by our ability to deliver these centres, as well as having the capability and responsibility to maintain them going forward. We have been particularly gratified by the fantastic feedback we have received congratulating all the teams involved for their great collaboration and importantly the speed of delivery that was achieved.”
