Galliford Try Building North West won the ‘Best Social Value for a Blue Light Project’ award for its work on Blackpool North West Ambulance Hub, in conjunction with the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
The three-storey station hub building has been designed to help improve response times through rapid refuelling and restocking in a double-height make-ready bay for emergencies, and includes parking, offices, refreshment facilities, training and meeting rooms, and locker and changing facilities.
The Procure Partnerships Frameworks Social Value Awards celebrate the achievements of their partners in creating social value through projects created through the framework’s activity.
Darren Parker, Managing Director for Galliford Try Building North West, commented: “This is a fantastic achievement for the business and I congratulate the team for making this great project a reality.
“As well as being a beacon of sustainability, with a low carbon design, the Blackpool Ambulance Hub has already proven to be of vital importance to the community. This award will serve as a powerful example of our commitment as a partner to the Procure Partnerships Frameworks.”
