Galliford Try has been named a finalist in five categories including Contractor of the Year in the 2022 Water Industry Awards, the water industry’s celebration of the very best practice from the frontline of the water sector.
The shortlistings include:
- Contractor of the Year.
- Asset Management Initiative of the Year for its Ultra-Filtration Modular Build at West Hyde Water Treatment Works.
- Digitalisation Project of the Year for Morrison Construction’s work with Hypervine.
- Partnership of the Year with Nereda Technology at Inverurie as part of the ESD joint venture.
- Customer Initiative of the Year for Eyemouth Sewer Flooding Network Improvements project.
Commenting on the news, Steve Slessor, Managing Director of Galliford Try said: “We are now one the biggest players in the water sector and this is fantastic recognition of our unique position to support our clients deliver the UK’s water needs as they drive for optimisation and resilience of their assets, efficiency and achieving net zero carbon. The nominations mark further progress towards Galliford Try’s Sustainable Growth Strategy, which focuses on controlled growth, underpinned by digitalisation, decarbonisation and social value.
The winners will be announced at the WIA ceremony at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole on 29 June where the industry will meet to celebrate the outstanding work of UK water companies and their supply chains.
