Galliford Try has been shortlisted for Contractor of the Year at this year's Education Estates Awards, underlining its strong track record of delivering high-quality educational facilities across the UK.
Having claimed the Contractor of the Year award three times in the last eight years, Galliford Try is once again in the spotlight at this year's Education Estates Awards which represent a mark of excellence in learning environments, celebrating innovation, inspiration, and the vision and dedication that drive excellence in education spaces.
Part of the Department for Education's (DfE) School Rebuilding Programme, Greenhead College set a new benchmark for sustainable education buildings as one of the first Net Zero Carbon in Operation (NZCiO) developments in the programme.
The redevelopment has created state-of-the-art learning spaces supported by low-carbon design principles, including a fabric-first approach and passive sustainability measures. A standout feature is its biodiverse roof, which pairs solar Photovoltaic (PV) technology with habitats designed to support local wildlife and boost biodiversity across the campus.

The Education Estates Awards celebrate excellence in the design, delivery and management of educational buildings and estates. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Manchester on 20 October.
