Galliford Try has been shortlisted for multiple accolades at this year's Highways Champions Award, which recognise individuals who have demonstrated exceptional qualities within the UK road sector.
Samantha Pickering, Environmental Advisor, and Alix Reynolds, Design Manager, were among just 26 individuals from across the UK to be recognised as Rising Star Champions for their outstanding contributions to the A47 North Tuddenham to Easton and Blofield to North Burlingham dualling schemes in Norfolk.
Sam was recognised for her innovative use of new technologies to reduce carbon emissions and for leading a unique Species Rich Grassland trial on high-nutrient soils. Alix was recognised for her technical expertise, leading a major pavement foundation design change and coordinating a complex multidisciplinary challenge to deliver the best engineering solution.
In addition, Pete Wallis, Lifting Operations Manager, has been recognised for his dedication to introducing safer, more efficient lifting processes and working practices across the Group with a shortlisting for the Process Change Award.
Finally, Ross Glendinning, Operations Director, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Long Service Medal, in recognition of his many years of outstanding contribution to the highways and infrastructure industry.
