Galliford Try’s businesses have landed four nominations for the prestigious Construction News Awards, following the announcement of this year’s shortlist.

Regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships has been recognised for its excellence in housebuilding with a nomination in the ‘Developer of the Year’ category, as well as earning a shortlisting for Quayside, an extra care development with the Guinness Partnerships, in the ‘Project of the Year category (under £15m)’.

Galliford Try Construction meanwhile has been rewarded with nominations for Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the ‘Project of the Year category (over £30m)’ and the Camogli Health Centre on Tristan da Cunha for the ‘International Project of the Year’ prize.

In addition, Queenferry Crossing, which Galliford Try constructed as part of the Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) joint venture, has also been named on the shortlist for the ‘Project of the Year (over £30m)’ category.

Peter Truscott, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, said: “These nominations demonstrate the excellence of our people across the breadth of our business.

“Whether constructing a health centre on a remote island like Tristan da Cunha, delivering a world-class performance and teaching space such as the Conservatoire or regenerating urban environments like Manchester and Gateshead, we have delivered high-quality buildings for our stakeholders, and our teams can be rightly proud of their achievements.”
