Galliford Try’s Digital Lead, John Ford, has once again contributed to an industry standard following the publication of a revised design management systems guide, BS 7000-4.

The new guide, developed for the British Standards Institution (BSI) by a panel chaired by John, is designed to address the lack of standardisation in how organisations handle the design development process, providing clarity for establishing effective systems that can be replicated across projects, allowing for continuous improvement.

John, who has previously worked with the BSI on the UK BIM Framework, also recently created a suite of digital training materials developed to assist supply chain understanding on digital design requirements in conjunction with the Department for Education.

He commented: “I was delighted to be able to play my part in the development of this guide and thank all those who took part in the process. I look forward to working with the team at Galliford Try and throughout the wider industry to keep developing our ideas of how we maximise our digital approach and improve the efficiencies of what we do.”
