Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading construction groups, announces that its Building business has been appointed to the new £2.1bn Constructing West Midlands Framework.

Constructing West Midlands is a collaboration between Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Acivico Limited, a design, construction and facilities management specialist wholly owned by Birmingham City Council which operates the framework.

The framework is open to all public sector bodies within the region to use as a procurement vehicle, as well as including the pipeline of projects from the three founding councils. Galliford Try has been appointed as one of four contractors to Lot 2 of the scheme, for projects in excess of £5m.

Ian Jubb, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building, commented: “Our business has an excellent track record within the West Midlands metropolitan area and beyond and we are delighted to have won the opportunity to further this through the framework. We look forward to working with the three councils and others to deliver high-quality public buildings for the region.”
