Galliford Try achieves Silver for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Clear Assured, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) platform, has awarded Galliford Try Silver accreditation for demonstrating strategic commitment to its EDI procedures. 

The move represents a step forward since Galliford Try received Bronze, on its first review under the Clear Assured scheme, and acknowledges leadership engagement and promotion of EDI. 

This has featured active involvement from the Group’s Executive Board, Divisional Boards and Business Unit Boards who have all participated in Inclusive Leadership sessions designed to widen and constructively challenge knowledge of how EDI influences business performance.

Other progress includes strengthening recruitment and people processes and the success of ‘Explore’ – an internal mobility programme that aid retentions by helping  individuals maintain a career with Galliford Try by moving between roles within the organisation as their personal circumstances have changed, or career aspirations have evolved.

The Group has also delivered organisation-wide Active Bystander training to help its teams uphold its values by providing them with the knowledge, tools and confidence to recognise and challenge inappropriate behaviour.
