Environment team receives haul of awards

Galliford Try’s Environment business has collected a haul of awards in the past few days, including success at the national Constructing Excellence Awards and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Scotland awards.

The Project Vinnie scheme led the way, winning Innovation Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence National Awards for utilising artificial intelligence technology to deliver unbiased insights from largely unstructured data to predict and reduce accidents and incidents, while providing an innovative approach to risk management and supply chain performance management.

At the CECA Scotland Awards, the Loch Ness Region Water Treatment Works team won the Digital Innovation Award for the collaboration between ESD and Scottish Water that will enhance and ensure the future resilience of water quality. Eyemouth Sewer Flooding Network Improvements project and Craighead Water Treatment Works were also finalists at the event.

Meanwhile, Eddy Glancy, Galliford Try’s Works Manager was highly commended at the Thames Water Supplier Spotlight Awards for his efforts at the Grayshott infrastructure project in the Outstanding Contribution to Customer Experience category.

Finally, at the Street Works UK Awards, commendations were awarded to the Coach Road scheme in the Project of the Year category, delivered by MGjv for Southern Water, a joint venture between Galliford Try and Morrison Water Services for Southern Water and the Paddock Wood Scheme in Tonbridge, in the Community Engagement category.
