Sustainability is not a separate part of Galliford Try but embedded throughout our business. Our approach is strategic, with clearly defined objectives and targets that appropriately address the sustainability risks and opportunities facing our business and our stakeholders. We monitor performance through a robust governance structure and are committed to publicly reporting our progress.
The Executive Board has overall responsibility for sustainability across the Group.
The Chief Executive for Construction & Investments is the Executive Board member accountable for Sustainability across the Group and updates the Executive Board on progress. Each Divisional board in turn is responsible for delivery of their own Sustainability Route Maps. The Divisions are supported in this by Group Services, and the Group Sustainability Manager, who is also responsible for Group-wide sustainability Initiatives.
Senior representatives from each Division and Group Services attend the quarterly Sustainability Steering Group, which is chaired by the Group Sustainability Manager, to discuss the latest industry sustainability issues and share best practice.
