Galliford Try worked in partnership with NEC UK Ltd to install and commission microwave links for O2’s 2010 Special Events calendar, which specialised in the short-term deployment of cells to assist with call capacity for large crowds at concerts and sporting event including the 2010 Virgin London Marathon.
The installation of a temporary 38GHz microwave link located close to the Greenwich Park start line by provided the required network coverage for the one million spectators and over 38,000 runners to keep in touch throughout the race.
