Galliford Try managed and implemented Anglian Water's AMP4 security commitments to potable water facilities throughout the East of England.

The close alignment of the Galliford Try project management team with Anglian Water’s own internal divisions, in 11 separate Anglian Water areas, was key to implementing the various security measures with minimum disruptions to their own daily operational requirements. The programme of security work included:

• The replacement of all timber doors on liquid chemical storing / dosing facilities with Loss Prevention Certification Board  rated steel door sets.
• The protection of vulnerable parts of existing buildings including internal / external windows and louvers with steel bar sets, and false ceilings with security rated mesh coverings.
• The enclosure of internally stored liquid chemicals and gases with individually designed security cages.
• The installation and integration into Anglian Water’s existing telemetry of advanced electronic security alarm systems.
• The enclosure of existing liquid chemical storing / dosing Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) kiosks, by the means of specifically designing and installing steel security cages.

Galliford Try had total responsibility for providing the project management including full-time site supervision, covering all aspects of construction, design and management, ensuring no operational disruption to Anglian Water, and delivering the project on time and to budget.
