The Blade

Galliford Try undertook the construction of a speculative mixed-use development in Reading town centre which was the tallest building in Reading at the time.
The project, which is located on the grounds of the original Reading Abbey, involved the protection of a medieval arch (a scheduled ancient monument) and comprised the construction of a 15-storey building.
The new development provides 10,000 sq m of lettable space, and 6,000 sq m of retail space across the first and ground floors of the building. An eight-storey residential block with 32 apartments completes the scheme.
