Galliford Try achieves BIM Level 2 accreditation

Wednesday, 07 December 2016 @ 02:05

Galliford Try's Construction business has joined the select group of contractors accredited for the PAS 1192 certification, meaning the business is now compliant with BIM Level 2 requirements.

The British Standards Institution (BSI) award was granted after a full audit of the company’s capabilities to adopt BIM Level 2 across its projects. Mark Stokes from BSI was on hand to present the certification to Galliford Try at the company’s Solihull offices.

The certification is further recognition of Galliford Try’s excellence in BIM, following on from the recent success at the Constructing Excellence Wales awards in the BIM category for the Holywell Campus project.

Pictured right, Adrian Shilliday, Galliford Try’s Technical Director who leads on BIM for the business, said:“It’s a great achievement to be awarded this certification in recognition of the standards we have reached with BIM implementation. Galliford Try regards BIM as a key part of the future for the construction sector, and we look forward to working with our clients and suppliers to realise the benefits BIM can bring throughout our portfolio of projects.”
