St Andrews Community Hospital

The new state-of-the-art primary care facility at St Andrews has been designed to provide fully sustainable, modern purpose-built healthcare accommodation and to facilitate expansion and integration of services within a series of pavilions linked by a central hub space.

The three level building accommodate:

• Primary Care Services
• In-Patient Facilities
• Diagnostic and Treatment Centre
• Day-based assessment and rehabilitation centre
• Minor Injuries Unit (MIU), treatment rooms, phlebotomy and primary care emergency services (PCES);
• Dental, orthodontic and podiatry care;
• Fife Council Social Work Services.

With the building now opened, the design has ensured that the building will work well for all the community with the external treatment being responsive to the human scale and fine grain that characterises the built environment of the historic town of St Andrews.

“The new St Andrews hospital and health centre is an exciting project and will make a great difference to the delivery of health care within St Andrews & North East Fife.
