This project required a piled retaining wall to enable the construction of a basement car park along with bearing piles to support a concrete framed structure.
The ground conditions proved to be suitable for a new system of bored pile wall, formed using a combination of reinforced concrete piles and soil mixing techniques. The 3m retaining face was safely supported by the system, prior to the construction of a watertight concrete lining wall.
Rock & Alluvium strives to be innovative and the Ropetackle project demonstrated that new products could be developed when proven techniques were paired.
