Our Health, Safety and Environmental Management systems are continually reviewed in order to ensure that they meet with our policy requirements and incorporate industry best practice.
We have established a proactive management philosophy, and our monitoring systems are designed to find faults and non-conformances before they result in accidents or incidents. Process mechanisms are in place to encourage feedback from customers and clients, supply chain, members of the public, enforcing authorities, and operational staff.
We also welcome performance measurement in industry recognised award schemes. In addition, Galliford Try Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management System has achieved the RoSPA Gold Award, with individual business units also continually achieving success in these awards. Additionally, we routinely obtain recognition of our high environmental performance standards through achievement of CEEQUAL, BREEAM, EcoHomes and Green Apple awards.
Our systems are subject to internal and external audit through various sector schemes, and have achieved Group-wide certification to both OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001:2004. The Policy and management system is updated periodically throughout the year, in line with new developments in legislation, guidance and best practice. The management system as a whole is reviewed formally annually by the Group Health Safety and Environment Director.
