Circle

Galliford Try is providing a Facilities Management (FM) solution for Circle, the UK’s largest partnership of healthcare professionals. The team is providing all of the hard facilities management services, including 24/7 emergency response, within the newly completed hospital in Nottingham, one of Circle’s leading-edge hospitals across the country.

The services we deliver include planned and reactive maintenance of: mechanical and electrical including the main chillers, chilled water pumps, boilers, air handling units and humidifiers; air conditioning systems; electrical systems; lighting; lifts; generators, statutory testing; building fabric repair and maintenance; water systems; fire alarms; medical gas systems; sterilisers and washer disinfectors; window cleaning; landscaping and grounds maintenance.

Our fully managed services are delivered through a combination of mobile and dedicated site based teams, all multi-skilled so that they are able to undertake a wide variety of tasks, and all requests are co-ordinated by a dedicated helpdesk.

All our activities are undertaken discreetly and to the highest levels of health and safety – which is imperative to accommodate the needs of hospital staff and to safeguard the wellbeing of patients. Our operatives are highly customer focused to ensure that the professional image of the Circle brand is maintained.

One of the major challenges faced by Circle has been the rapid commissioning of new facilities following the completion of construction works by their contractor.

Typically, using the building contractor to resolve defects delays buildings from becoming fully operational for several weeks or even months. Galliford Try has provided a solution to this by deploying the FM team as soon as practical completion has been achieved; our multi-skilled teams have been able to complete any outstanding works and minor works inevitably required by hospital staff such as installing shelving and notice boards.

This has enabled Circle to welcome the first patients at the Nottingham facility several weeks earlier than if the usual defects rectification process had been followed.
