Stage 2 - Introduction to Management

In order to continue the development of our trainees or newly appointed supervisors, it is at this stage they will be introduced to the behavioural skills required by first line supervisors and managers. Such skills include organising and making effective use of resources and information, developing and maintaining relationships, identifying and resolving disputes or performance issues.

We provide a range of opportunities for our employees to acquire these new skills through such existing programmes as “Young Flyers” which is an action learning programme run in the Lake District. In addition, we provide other development opportunities at this level including programmes accredited by the Institute of Leadership Management such as the “Introductory Certificate in Team Leading” which is a nationally recognised qualification.
