“I joined Morrison Construction as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor after completing my Civil Engineering Surveying Degree in 2000.
During my career to-date I have been fortunate enough to work with experienced and knowledgeable quantity surveyors who have guided me with ‘on the job’ training. This, along with a structured training plan and professional development support, has seen me progress my position, firstly to Quantity Surveyor and then to Senior Quantity Surveyor level where I am at present.
The projects I have been involved with have enabled me to gain a vast range of knowledge and experience of civil engineering. I am currently working on the British Waterways Omnibus Partnering Contract where I have responsibility for projects from estimating through to final account.
The people I have worked with have always been on hand to provide support and advice. It’s very much a team effort and that coupled with the interesting work means that coming to work is always a pleasure.”
