“My career in building started with holiday work at Wootton Brothers and Withrow & McAuley, Structural Engineers - and I liked the jobs so much that I decided to make a profession of construction, gaining a HND in Building Studies, and working as a Site Engineer before joining Galliford Try as an Engineer.

The company gave me unprecedented opportunities to increase both my theoretical and practical knowledge - and, as well as a full programme of training, I’ve enjoyed the chance to be involved in building projects as varied as a cinema, a seaside “children’s village”, building society offices and a number of food retail outlets".

In January 2007, I was promoted to Construction Director of Galliford Try North, a building business operating from Warrington and working across the North West."
