Darwen Leisure Centre
This project entailed the demolition of the former leisure centre to make way for a new state-of-the-art complex.
Set to become Pennine Lancashire’s flagship sports and leisure facility, the development provides a 25-metre, eight-lane competition swimming pool. The pool will feature a movable floor (funded by Sport England) so it can be split for competitive and leisure use.
There will also be spectator seating, a fitness suite, a health suite, sports hall, café, changing facilities, 63-space car park, learners’ pool, activity rooms, a gym and a cafe.
