Brunel Indoor Athletics Centre
Galliford Try was appointed by Brunel University to undertake the construction of the new Brunel Indoor Athletics Centre, a world-class athletic facility. The new centre, which features a 100m sprint track, pole vault, high, triple and long jump and a throws area, netball and badminton hall, where the All England Netball Team will train, is linked to an existing sports building which has undergone refurbishment and landscaping works.
The striking new landmark building features an innovative arched steel structure with a 24m clear span which is clad in texlon inflatable cushions, glass, composite panels and a metal standing seam roof.
