Marks & Spencer
Galliford Try, in joint venture with Ellmer Construction, delivered a redevelopment and refit programme at two of M&S’s flagship super stores in Hertfordshire: Cheshunt and London Colney. Each store remained fully live and operational throughout the duration of works, which comprised:
- Total remodelling including a 20,000sq ft extension to both stores
- Redevelopment and remodelling of all sales and back-of-house support areas
- Construction of new high specification delicatessens, cafés and food halls
- Works to the London Colney store also included the formation of a new mezzanine floor incorporating new customer facilities and a Café Revive
The fast-track projects completed ahead of the 2007 Christmas trading period.
