Galliford Try has a 20 year framework partnering agreement for construction services with Elevate Partnerships Ltd, a Public Private Partnership in which Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Primary Care Trusts and Community Health Partnerships (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Department of Health) are shareholders. Galliford Try is a shareholder in the private sector consortium which holds the majority shareholding in Elevate.

The framework has a potential value in excess of £100 million. The first tranche of projects covered seven projects, worth £32 million over a period of three to four years with the potential to significantly increase the number of projects in further phases.

To date, Galliford Try has completed three projects (below).The fourth project, Hornsey Central, a £9.8 million Super Health Care Centre, is currently under construction.

Forest Primary Care Centre

The project entailed the design and build of a new medical centre for Enfield PCT. The building is a concrete frame construction with the envelope being a mixture of brick, render and eternit cladding. The roof was a complex mixture of Euroclad standing seam, some parts flat and some curved along with a SARNA membrane to all accessible areas.

To the front elevation of the building, there is a large amount of glazed curtain walling with a feature S curve roof. Internally, there is a mixture of rooms from consulting to a dentistry suite.

Lordship Lane Primary Care Resource Centre

The project provides Primary Care in the Haringey area delivering high quality customer service in new facilities with a focus on high quality design.

The construction is two storeys utilising a steel frame with high specification service installations. External materials incorporate a Prodema cladding system with controlled glazing against solar gain. Internally, there are high quality finishes to reception areas and modular based components within practice and treatment rooms.

Facilities include: GP Practice, dental surgery, community health services in multi-disciplinary teams, for example a “one stop shop” service for people with diabetes, family planning, physiotherapy, orthotics and biomechanics, foot health service, health visiting, school nurses, dietetics, blood testing, speech and language therapy, district nursing and satellite base for the London Ambulance Service.

Vale Drive Primary Care Centre

The project comprised the design and build of a new medical centre for Barnet PCT. The building is a concrete frame construction with the envelope being a mixture of brick and eternit cladding. The roof is a rigidal standing seam along with a SARNA membrane to the low level flat areas. The inside includes a mixture of rooms to accommodate local GP services.

In addition, the architects have designed a central atrium to the reception areas with glass and stainless steel balustrades and roof light over, creating an illusion of space and giving off a large amount of natural light
