Galliford Try is deeply involved in addressing environmental issues. The Group has a dedicated micro-renewables business; in Scotland we are constructing the largest on-shore windfarm in Europe and are currently building the Antarctic research station which monitors global warming. In addition to this, we are currently advising Orange, Tesco, and the London Fire Brigade on renewable strategies.
Photo-voltaics, hydro-generation, solar power, ground source heating, combined heat and power, wind-power, water recycling, ecological protection, green travel plans, and sustainable sourcing and on-site practice are all integral to Galliford Try’s forward thinking strategy.
We will deliver the UK’s first zero carbon scheme before 2010, which is already running ahead of government targets. Galliford Try also recognises that sustainability is about creating affordable, well-designed homes in viable dynamic communities. Technically and socially: sustainability sits at the heart of our regeneration agenda.
