Supporting Communities & Residents

Galliford Try has more than 40 years’ experience working within live communities providing regeneration solutions.

We understand that fluid communication and in-depth consultation are the foundations upon which thriving communities are built and therefore continuously liaise with the local community to gain an insight into their core requirements and transform the site into their vision for the development.

At Queen's Court and Freshney Green we have ensured that our works accommodated the needs of the community as much as possible:

Freshney Green has been praised for the way in which it is uniting the local community through their shared desires and goals. Community engagement has remained a key element of the project, and a tenants and residents association has been formed by the community to work closely with the Shoreline Housing Partnership, the architect and Stamford Homes. Regular newsletters, workshops and consultations with residents have also been key to the engagement process feeding into the masterplan for the development. Five community workshops on the masterplan itself enabled the generation of many useful ideas of what would work for the community. Local schoolchildren devised a new name for the area – Freshney Green – and the community was involved in a street-naming competition.
