Working in partnership with Crest Nicholson plc, HTA Architects and the Homes and Communities Agency, Linden Homes is delivering more than 700 new homes across three former hospital sites covering an area of 54 hectares (133 acres).
The scheme provides for between 710 and 1,000 dwellings together with community facilities, hotel and conference centre and approximately 1,000sq m of commercial accommodation. Dwelling types vary from refurbished apartments to luxury houses in mature plots. 40 per cent of all new homes will be affordable.
An Eco Homes “Excellent” rating will be obtained on all new build units, achieving a 50 per cent reduction in carbon emissions. At least a quarter of all new dwellings will be constructed using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and the whole development will comply with Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) “Quality Price Standards”.
