Galliford Try is working with Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the national regeneration agency, and lead developer English Cities Fund (ECf) to deliver new homes and offices on a 0.86 ha site on Millbay Road near the city centre – part of Plymouth’s £300m harbour-side regeneration scheme.
Planning permission has been granted for 123 high-quality flats and townhouses comprising 92 speculative units, 16 shared ownership units and 15 units for rent, together with 1,244 sq m of B1 business space. The proposal for 11 units (six flats and five houses) to become HomeBuy Direct has been confirmed. Buy-to-let properties have been restricted to no more than 25 per cent of the open market homes.
The scheme also incorporates basement parking beneath the flat blocks which will provide each property with 1 allocated bay, when incorporated with the numbers of surface parking bays, and 5 parking bays set aside for the B1 use.
